The wildebeest is a species of mammal in the family Bovidae, genus Connochaetes, and the scientific name is Connochaetes taurinus. This is one of the largest mammals in Africa, they are about 1.2 to 1.5 meters tall at the shoulder and weigh from 120 to 270 kg. Wildebeest have fawn fur and a pair of upward curved horns. They live in the grasslands and savannas of Africa, from South Sudan to South Africa. Wildebeest are common predators of leopards, lions and African wild dogs.

Antelopes are solitary, while lions have up to 8 cubs. This is an extremely attractive opportunity for soldiers, they do not easily pass up this rare opportunity.

However, when a whole herd of lions surrounded the antelope, not a single lion could deliver the decisive blow.

The reason lies in the long sharp horns that the saber-horned antelope possesses.

After trying everything but still unable to do anything, the lions sadly left the antelope on their territory.
